Guess Who...

I thought I would just write a quick blog post about remaining anonymous and why I am choosing to do this ... Basically its to cover my back and maintain patient confidentiality.

This blog is still new to me (no kidding?! haha I've only done 1 blogpost so far) and I'm not too sure how I'm going to use it, however, there is a strong possibility that in the future I might talk about some interesting or difficult patient scenarios that I come across. By remaining anonymous it will help to maintain patient confidentiality as if I spill information about who I am or where I live it might make it easier for people to recognise patients and breech the GMC rules.

Having said this, I would still like this blog to personal and I would like to share details about my life so that you guys can get to know me :)

  1. Good luck with your ongoing blogging! GMC guidance is worth reading on people who choose to remain anonymous while online - suggests you shouldn't. I agree with you though, being anonymous gives you many more options with what you want to discuss.

    Keep it up!
